Newham Council, with the help of Citizens Design Bureau (Architect practice) and MP Building Ltd (the Contractor) are refurbishing a part of the Will Thorne Pavilion in Beckton District Park South to bring it back into use for the local community in 2026.

Once the building is handed back to the Council, an Operator will take on the space and furnish it. Once this is complete the café and community space will be opened to the public in Summer 2026.

The community space will be available for hire, as well as programmed with a range of different activities for everyone to enjoy and the cafe will serve a range of food and drinks.
