Phases
Phasing and moving
Do I get a home in the regenerated area?
The landlord offer sets out the housing offer to all residents living in and those with the right to return to the Phase One area. Secure tenants and residents living in temporary accommodation (who have lived in the area for more than one year or have the right to return) will be offered a permanent home in the regenerated area.
Residents who own their home will be offered the opportunity to buy a new home in the regenerated area.
When will I be expected to move out of my current home?
If residents vote in favour of the regeneration, the development will take place over several years. We will work with residents to advise when you will need to move and (with the exception of 64-80 Coolfin Road) we aim to move everyone directly into their new home. The first new homes are anticipated to be ready by 2026.
We will be in contact with everyone to discuss the moving process in advance.
We will continue to work directly with these residents who live in 64-80 Coolfin Road to find the best interim
solution before their permanent home is ready.
How will the new homes be allocated?
New homes will be allocated in accordance with Newham Council’s Allocation Policy. This sets out the process for allocating new homes for council tenants and households in temporary accommodation.
Is there any support for vulnerable residents during and after the moving process?
Residents who need additional support can contact the Regeneration Team to discuss the support required on a case- by-case basis.
If residents require assessing for aids and adaptations everything that is agreed will be in place in your new home at the time you move in
