Your Key Questions

December 30, 2021 - December 31, 2021

Do I get a home in the regenerated area?

As well as setting out the regeneration proposals, the landlord offer also sets out the housing offer to all residents living in and those with the right to return to the Phase One area.

Secure tenants and residents living in temporary accommodation (and who have lived in the area since at least 7 November 2021 or have the right to return) will be offered a permanent home within the regenerated area.

Residents who own their home will be offered a choice of moving, including the opportunity to buy a new home on the development.

What is the resident ballot?

The resident ballot gives those living in the Phase One area the opportunity to vote on whether or not they are in favour of the regeneration and restoration of the estate and the construction of new homes.

The ballot paper will ask you to vote “Yes” or “No” to the following question: “Are you in favour of the regeneration proposals for the Custom House Phase One area?”.

When will I be expected to move out of my current home?

If residents vote in favour of the regeneration it will take place over several years. We will work with residents to advise when you need to move and (with the exception of 64-80 Coolfin Road) we aim to move everyone directly into their new homes. The first new homes are anticipated to be ready by 2026. We will be in contact with everyone to discuss the moving process in advance.
