Housing Services Resident Challenge Board


The Resident Challenge Board are a group of 13 tenants and leaseholders who meet monthly with Housing management representatives to receive updates on the Housing Service Improvement Programme. 

The role of the board is to challenge the Council on our progress with implementing the Housing Services Improvement Programme. The Board will also carry out focused reviews of key areas of the improvement programme and assess changes being made.

Challenge 2 - Repairs Backlog Response

For the second Resident Challenge Board cycle, the theme chosen by Resident Challenge Board was the Repairs Backlog Response.

During this cycle, Board members received a detailed presentation from the council officers leading the work to reduce the repairs backlog. Resident Challenge Board were able to discuss the information provided, share their thoughts, and shape a set of recommendations for improving how repairs are managed.

The council has reviewed these recommendations and provided a formal response outlining the actions being taken.
