Housing Services Resident Challenge Board


The Resident Challenge Board are a group of 13 tenants and leaseholders who meet monthly with Housing management representatives to receive updates on the Housing Service Improvement Programme. 

The role of the board is to challenge the Council on our progress with implementing the Housing Services Improvement Programme. The Board will also carry out focused reviews of key areas of the improvement programme and assess changes being made.

Training with Tpas Tenant Engagement Specialists

The Board received training from TPAS (tenant engagement specialists) on social housing regulations. This included the context, Social Housing Act 2023, consumer regulations, tenant satisfaction measures, the Housing Ombudsman, Awaab's Law and Building Safety Act 2022.

The board elected Saad and Shervona as their Chair and Vice Chair and selected their first topic for challenge: Vulnerability Screening for Person Centred Fire Risk Assessments.
