Project timeline

To create a successful and sustainable neighbourhood, the engagement and co-design processes must be inclusive - ensuring everyone is welcome and able to play an active role in their community - and locally rooted. The process will involve gaining a deep understanding of the area with research into existing spaces, places and groups. Engaging with residents, visitors and stakeholders in Manor Park allows us to best respond to local needs. Forming connections with existing community members to build trust, finding the right people to talk with, and being welcoming and transparent in discussions about the vision, and actively listening- asking the right questions and taking time to listen - will allow us to create a deeper understanding of Manor Park. We will also build on the Newham High Streets Manor Park research to develop further uses and demand.
