Apply
Apply for Funding with People Powered Places
This is your opportunity to transform your community idea into reality.
- Voluntary Community and Faith Sector organisations can apply for up to £20,000
- Youth-led projects can apply for up to £10,000
- Resident-led projects can apply for up to £5,000
Update for Youth-led applications
Youth-led projects must be delivered with a partner organisation. Partner organisations can apply for funding under VCFS grant, as well as supporting up to two youth-led projects.
Youth-led projects mean that children and young people aged 10 to 22 make critical decisions about the project, especially the project idea, aims and purpose. This can involve designing and managing the project, being part of budgeting decisions, delivering activities and monitoring and evaluation.
All projects must be separate and distinct, with their own application forms, aims and delivery plan.
To accommodate these changes, we have extended the deadline for youth-led applications to the 21 September.
Your project idea must align with local priorities chosen by 403 of your neighbours, which are:
- Health & Wellbeing
- Community Development & Participation
- Community Safety

Your application will be reviewed by the Community Neighbourhood Team. They will be in touch if there is any missing information.
Your application will be scored anonymously by Working Group members, as well as undergo a feasibility assessment by Council colleagues to ensure your project is viable.
