Our priorities

April 28, 2023 - May 31, 2023

Residents of Beckton & Royal Docks have now chosen their top 3 priorities:

1. Community development & participation

2. Health and wellbeing

3. Environment & public spaces

Below you can see the breakdown of the votes.

You can find the recording of the event below and the presentation attached.

In this phase, residents came together to choose their local priorities.

There were 6 themes to choose from which have been derived from the Council's strategy to build a fairer Newham: Community development & participation, Community safety, Environment & public spaces, Health & wellbeing, Inclusive economy and Youth empowerment.

You can read about the Council's strategy in the Corporate Plan and the 6 theme cards attached below. You can also watch the animation below which explains the Council's strategy in 3 minutes.

All projects applying for funding through People Powered Places will have to address at least one of the 3 local priorities.
