Set within King George V Park, the former Newham City Farm has a long history as a community farm and green asset. The vision for the site is to reimagine it as a welcoming, sustainable and community‑centred place that brings people together through nature, learning and wellbeing—creating a vibrant hub for green skills, urban food growing, and meaningful connection with the natural environment.

The shortlisted bidders are responding to the bid and these will be reviewed and scored by a panel. This process will lead to an operator being selected to lead on the redevelopment and long-term operation of the former Newham City Farm site in Beckton.
