Stage 1 Consultation Boards and Survey
Meanwhile Space C.I.C has been appointed by the council as the Development Partner to co-design, construct and operate a new engaging and successful, fully furnished demountable/temporary meanwhile-use structure encompassing a business/cultural/creative programme lasting for a minimum of 10 years on the land at 1A Forest View Road, E12 5DA.
Consultation
The purpose of the consultation is to inform the business case and proposals for meanwhile use, ensuring the proposals reflect local needs and use an approach that is unique to the area. The following boards created by IF_DO architects show initial site analysis.
The proposal will aspire to reflect the ambitions of the local community through thoughtful and inclusive engagement. These boards show potential options for uses on the site.

Participatory design workshops will be used to involve the community (all ages) in the design and development of their neighbourhoods in imaginative ways so that they have a meaningful influence on the brief and design of Manor Park Meanwhile Space. Potential workshop themes could include social spaces, look & feel and green spaces.
Deliver
“You said, we did” exhibitions to show how the community has influenced the design of the building and to exhibit any ideas and work produced in workshops, usually linking to milestones for pre-app and planning.
The engagement activities will help to ensure that the development of the Manor Park site is a process that happens with and not to the existing community. It will not only create a needed local resource but will also enhance the character and vitality of future neighbourhoods and hopefully something the community can be proud of.
