Proposed Main Modifications to the Newham Local Plan 2026 – 2042
Newham's Local Plan was submitted for examination in July 2025. Following examination hearings held between December 2025 and February 2026, the Inspector identified a series of Main Modifications required to ensure the Plan meets the tests of legal compliance and soundness.
The Council therefore consulted on these Proposed Main Modifications to the Newham Local Plan. They were put forward without prejudice to the Inspector’s final conclusion which will take into account all representations received during the consultation.
The consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications ran from Tuesday 26 May 2026 to Tuesday 7 July 2026. Please note that comments received after the 7 July cannot be accepted.

Consultation of Proposed Main Modifications to the Newham Local Plan 2026 – 2042

The consultation on the Proposed Main Modifications will run from: Tuesday 26 May 2026 to 5pm on Tuesday 7 July 2026. Please note that comments received after the deadline cannot be accepted.
