Newham Council are refurbishing the lighting and tarmac in King George V Park into a new and exciting area for Urban Sports starting with elements and obstacles for wheeled sports provision including skating and skateboarding.

Works Commencement

Following consultation and the agreement of a final design, works are due to commence in mid April.

The works will start with lighting upgrades scheduled to begin April 20th followed by resurfacing works scheduled to begin May 5th.

This will be followed by the wheeled sports provision as per the final agreed design.

We estimate these works be completed by the end of May 2026.
