John Street, West Ham

The planning application to build new affordable homes on the site at John Street was submitted at the end of June 2021. Thank you to all those residents who provided feedback online and during the consultation events over recent months.

Residents in the area will receive a letter from the Newham Planning Department telling them how they can formally respond to the planning application. All of the application documents will be available on the Council’s website to review, however the Design and Access Statement from the application is available by clicking the link below. The application will then be considered by Newham’s Strategic Development Committee, potentially in October.

If the planning application is approved we would then hope to start works next March. In advance of the works starting we will speak to all residents in the area to discuss how we can minimise disruption from the construction.

If you have any about the project please contact James Collier, Development Manager, at james.collier@newham.gov.uk or by telephone on 020 3373 8094.
