High Street North Public Realm

We are improving High Street North

We want to improve High Street North and we want you to shape the future designs with us!

Newham Council want to attract more people from Newham and afar, ensuring they visit High Street North and the surrounding area more frequently and stay longer. Residents and businesses on High Street North will be consulted from 20 May to 19 June 2022 so we can hear the ideas you have to enhance the high street for everyone.

We would like to hear your views on what changes and improvements you would like to see in the High Street North area, including better pedestrian space, more planting and greenery, improved access to the market and changes to bus services along High Street North

Are there any other ways of getting involved?

Yes, there are a variety of methods you can use to tell us how you feel about High Street North.

There will be two co-design workshops to encourage people to take an active role in the potential designs and improvements in the area. This will give you the opportunity to speak directly with planners and council officers on suggestions you have for the area. Workshop dates will be published in the coming weeks. Please check this page for updates.

I am a local business in the area

We are keen to hear from local businesses. In addition to some face-to-face engagements, we will also be holding two virtual stakeholder meetings to discuss business requirements and how to improve local trade. The dates of stakeholder meetings will be published in the coming weeks. Please check this page for updates.

What will happen next?

Your feedback will give our designers a starting point to draw up plans for proposals. These proposals will then be presented to the public in an official consultation
