Green Street Community Assemblies 2022

Overview

The Community Assemblies will identify how best to address concerns in your area. The assemblies give you and your neighbours direct influence to create a shared vision for the place where you live, work or learn and to help shape its development and growth. This will be your chance to discuss local priorities, establish community projects for your neighbourhood, and influence how the £100,000 available in your neighbourhood will be spent.

Background

Green Street Community Neighbourhood is made up of 3 wards: Green Street East, Green Street West and Boleyn.

In the previous cycle, residents put forward and voted for their top three priorities of concern for each neighbourhood. These priorities will be carried forward to the current cycle.

  1.  Invest in Parks and Green Spaces
  2.  Community Safety
  3. Cleaner Environment

You can find out about projects delivered in the previous cycle here.

Vote on Community Projects

July 8, 2022 11:00 PM - July 28, 2022 11:00 PM

When this phase opens you will be able to vote to decide which projects get allocated a portion of the £105,000 Green Street Community Neighbourhood budget. This includes £5000 which was carried over from the previous cycle.

Add the projects which are most important to you to your basket for the value of up to £105,000 and click 'submit my basket'. You can only vote once, so please read through all the projects before clicking submit.

Below is a short tutorial you can watch to learn about how to submit your vote.

The projects which receive the most votes will progress to the next phase where they will be allocated a portion of the funds. Projects will be approved by London Borough of Newham and successful projects will be announced in August. Projects will be required to meet certain grant conditions, such as implementing safeguarding measures and acquiring relevant permissions before any funding is released.
