Our consultation with you

Since the first consultation exercise in March 2021, we have worked hard to develop the proposals taking account of comments received from the local residents and further pre-application advice. The proposed development at Burgoynes Depot and Melford Garages site will provide much needed 48 new affordable homes, with a mix of 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5bed homes, including some shared ownership properties and extensive public open space for the local community to enjoy. We hope our proposals will be of interest to you and would welcome your thoughts.

Second Consultation Event - Saturday 10th July 2021

On Saturday 10th July 2021 between 11am – 4pm, we held a public consultation event in the courtyard of the Burgoyne’s Depot building. Here we presented our evolving proposals for the redevelopment of this site. The purpose of the event was to provide local stakeholders, neighbours, and any other interested parties with another opportunity to view the developed proposals and provide much valued feedback.

The feedback we received will help us to finalise the plans before submitting the planning application for the council’s consideration.

Please see below an attachment of the boards that were presented on the day.
