Beckton Parks Masterplan

Co-designing a Sustainable Future for our Green Spaces.

Newham Council are working with residents and community stakeholders to create a future vision for the Beckton Parks Masterplan area.

The area covers 2 council wards: Beckton and Custom House. It includes the largest amount of local authority managed green space in the borough and a variety of leisure and community facilities situated within Beckton District Park (North and South), New Beckton Park, Beckton Corridor, Newham City Farm Site and King George V Park:

The landscape offers enormous potential to create new and improved sports, leisure, wildlife and community led opportunities through improving existing spaces and facilities and re-purposing areas to better meet local needs.

We are planning a variety of ways for you to get involved in co-designing this exciting masterplan over the coming months. Engagement opportunities and events will be advertised throughout the project phases below.

Design Consultation Workshops

Follow-up workshops by East Architecture:

Following completion of the co-design workshops that took place across 27 November and 3 December last year, East Architecture would like to welcome you to a follow-up workshop and opportunity to provide further feedback relating to the designs for the Beckton Parks Masterplan.

This workshop will take place on Saturday 11th March, at the Beckton Globe Library Rotunda, where the East Architecture design team will be present to discuss designs, answer questions and collect further feedback.

The design team will be there between 10.30 - 13.00 and 14.00 - 16.30. If you would like to join for the introductory talks, please arrive ahead of one of the two scheduled sessions:

·       11.00 - 11.15: Morning Introduction and updates from East Architecture Design team

·       14.30 - 14.45: Afternoon Introduction and updates from East Architecture Design team

If you are unable to attend on Saturday, the boards featuring the Masterplan drawings and designs will be presented in the Rotunda space for another week - with forms to share feedback. 

There will also be an opportunity to provide feedback online via the Co-Create page.
