Mark Weston4 years ago It appears that the council conveniently omitted the traffic and pollution data from the boundary roads - specifically, Romford Road and Woodgrange Road. Traffic is at an all time high in those areas and the council will be punishing residents by forcing them to enter Woodgrange Road. The initial parts of Hampton Road, Osborne Road and Claremont Road are already heavily congested as they are in close proximity to the high street and stores. People frequently park their cars, cause obstruction to traffic flow for residents of the estate. These issues will only be further exacerbated with this poorly thought-out LTN proposal.

Mark Weston4 years ago it would appear there are some individuals who fail to understand what exactly a LTN zone entails. I disagree with the council’s proposals unless access for residents are granted. The people of Windsor road have not been living in a so-called LTN. We can access the Romford Road via Hampton and Balmoral Roads as well as Woodgrange Road via Claremont Road. I think it’s quite incorrect for some individuals to claim people avoid Windsor Road. That’s preposterous as my local road grants access to the Romford Road, Woodgrange Road and Balmoral Road which are key routes in the estate. These proposals would seek to close off these vital access points to major routes and it is for that reason I disagree with these proposals.the council’s proposals will only increase traffic and pollution in the already congested Woodgrange Road.In response to some fellow neighbours commenting on the scheme:Rather than seeking to make observations, perhaps consider discussing with fellow residents regarding these proposals instead of making incorrect assumptions.

Mark Weston4 years ago I do not support restricting access to local residents. Alternative schemes such as Browning Road bridge have been done with similar effects on traffic but local residents were permitted to cross the bridge. A similar thing can be introduced for the local residents.Contesting the Woodgrange estate with limited access - only 3 roads to Woodgrange Road, of which 1 is a School Street. This will only result in further pollution and traffic as well as hampering local key connections to the major arterial route, the Romford Road. I have trialled entering the Woodgrange Estate from Centre Road via Woodgrange Road. The time it took was 15 minutes longer of which most time the car was stationary amongst others in the congested street with heavy pollutants being spread to individuals in the heart of Forest Gate town centre.
