Connie Cullen4 years ago The high street has many different related issues and needs an approach which covers all: illegal and dangerous parking would be addressed by putting in additional trees and planters along the roadillegal dumping of waste needs addressing with businesses and residents intensively with investment in CCTV as well as more infrastructure to actually rake waste away properly Adding cycle facilities would help

Connie Cullen5 years ago Our aims are to make Manor Park Community Garden an inclusive beautiful space in which people feel safe, explore and discover nature and can mix outside their immediate friendship circles, aligning to our community priority to make a greener public space. This space will be open for all members of the community to cometogether in and will benefit people’s wellbeing, health and social connectionas well as the local environment. Outcomes include: • A peaceful green space for any local residentor those that work in the area • Aretreat for those who don’t have a garden of their own • A‘neutral’ space in which people from different ethnic and socio-economic groupscan get to know each other• Aspace for residents to hone their gardening skills and empower them with simplemeasures that help to green their streets, balconies, front gardens,windowsills • Ameeting space for all residents in Manor Park and a place that can host communityenhancing activities.• Aplace for sharing plants, vegetables and seeds. To reuse and share, improvingrecycling of gardening plants and materials.• Aspace to positively impact the air quality in the area and encourageenvironmentally improving measures we can all undertake

Connie Cullen5 years ago It is well documented that community gardens are catalysts for bringing people together. It's a great way to meet neighbours, to create new links, but also, it promotes the benefits of being outdoors, exercising, growing your own food, learning about flowers and fauna and how to look after them, it is a hugely empowering activity. Local schools and residents that don't have outdoor space would benefit from using this space. What we want:- To upgrade the community garden with: New planters, soil, plants and fruits trees, small greenhouse, improve the fence, and make the whole garden safer. Bins for rubbish and recycling, new composting containers. A big tidy up (skip needed possibly) to be workshop ready.- To develop a long term plan to make the garden accessible for the whole community
