H4H Community Development and Wellbeing Project

Hope 4 Humanity•9 months ago H4H, we believe that strong communities are built on connection, support, and opportunities for everyone to thrive. This is our next step in bringing people together to improve community wellbeing, empowering local voices, and create positive, lasting change. We have a proven track record of delivering successful community focused initiatives. Projects such as Warm Heaven have offered safe, welcoming spaces for people to find warmth, companionship, and support during difficult times, while our Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme has provided vital resources, healthy meals, and engaging activities for families during school holidays. Whereas, we have also previously delivered PPP Project successfully with the tremendous feed backBuilding on these successes, our project will focus on harnessing the skills, ideas, and energy of local people to strengthen wellbeing, reduce isolation, and create inclusive opportunities, specially the adults living with strokes and diabetes. By working together, we aim to nurture resilience, promote healthier lifestyles, and ensure that everyone feels valued and supported in their community. The attendees shall benefit through Lectures form Dietician, Nutritionist, Nurse, Heathy Cooking Classes, Thai Chi & Cardio Vascular Excercises, Children Half Term Club and many more.

H4H – YOUTH & WOMEN EMPOWERMENT PROJECT

Hope 4 Humanity•3 years ago Hope 4 Humanity is an organisation that has been in operation since 2020 in the Borough of Newham. We run a food bank there as well as we have been running several successful projects over the course of this time. The project that we are proposing to do is called the "Women's and Youth Empowerment Project" which will be holistic, dynamic and efficient. It will involve 40 youths and 40 women in the Neighbourhood of Green Street.   Activities will be tailored to meet the needs of these two groups of people. We will ensure that young people have the ability and skill to excel, regardless of their background and circumstances. Our project will also ensure that the 40 women specified, will get the opportunity to improve their health and well-being, as well as the young people. .Women will get the chance to participate in robust activities tailored to meet their needs. We will teach the young people about app making and give them training in media and the logistics around this area. Although young people know about social media platforms, they sometimes lack the knowledge of how to use and apply it properly and to their advantage. We intend to change this by providing the appropriate training in Digital Media, which will build upon their confidence, and boost their self-esteem. In doing so young people can begin to believe that they too can be on radio or television as well as they can start lucrative YouTube businesses etc., which will benefit themselves and their neighborhood. Kickboxing will also be one of the activities that young people will be given training in.  Secondly, the 40 women involved will participate in a catalogue of activities that will be uplifting and satisfying. They will have dance lessons as well as women will get lessons in acting and in self-defence. We want women to learn how to protect themselves and to be safe and feel safe in their community. We will have a health cafe, where women will be given health information and advice as needed. Outside professionals as well as our staff will facilitate most of the sessions.. We will work from the SMART project model, which means that our goals will be specific, measurable, achievable, realistic and time-bound. Young people will be enabled to become future ambassadors and entrepreneurs in their community  and there will be a combination of health benefits for women and mental stability

H4H - Health and Mental Wellbeing Project

Hope 4 Humanity•4 years ago Description:Hope for Humanity is an organization that has been operating in Newham for the past 2 years. We run a Food Bank every Saturday, where we cater for over 200 to 400 people. In past as well as currently we organize and run HAF Projects for 5-11 years old children during the Summer, Christmas and Easter breaks. Our staff team are highly trained and we have vast experience in running projects. Our Aim:We propose to run a project for 50 women and 50 children. Ages for those women will range from 18 - 50 years old and children from 7-12 years old in Green Street Neighborhood. The project will run for two days per week, 5 hours daily, and will target the mental health, the safety and well-being of these groups of people. Why this Project: The rising crime rate in the Borough and the lasting effects of Covid 19 have driven women and children into isolation, and has affected their mental health and their well-being. In addition, 'fear, ' has been a core factor in all of this, making women and children afraid to go out freely in their community. Who will be involved: We will work in consultation with our sponsors, the police, a Nutritionist, the environmental Department, a well known self-defense trainer and our local council, to achieve the desired goals. What we do? (Methodology)To compact this we will arrange for the women and children to get fit, improve their health and keep their their community clean. We will be working from the 'one stop approach concept, 'where we will tackle all the named priorities together'. How will we do it? Each day will be broken up into sessions, where we will provide trainings. on health, on safety and on self protection. We will also provide training of how to keep their community clean, whilst incorporating some practical scenarios. Lastly and certainly not least, we will arrange a weekly robust walk in PRIORY PARK , and finish up with women and children planting vegetables and herbs in the green spaces provided. Conclusion: This project will be carried forward into the future. With determination we will ensure that we tap into other resources to ensure that all women and children in Green Street Neighborhood  have the opportunity to be involved, to be healthy, safe, happy and to live fulfilled lives in their community.
