Beckton Community Projects (BCP) is Community-led organisation, with a strong ethos and an emphasis on engaging and involving local people.

To meet, enhance and improve the quality of life of the local community with particular emphasis on the most vulnerable.

To improve the quality of life for local people by offering excellent services which provide a range of educational, recreational, cultural and social opportunities.

Developing and enriching by means of collective involvement of the community, to help each resident to achieve their full potential in turn building a cohesive and inclusive society.

Yakub Ali3 years ago Beckton Community Projects is a community organisation which was set up to create and deliver immediate benefits to the local residents of Beckton. BCP's main aims are to re-establish community spirit, improve the standards of living for as many residents within the area and ultimately empower the people of Beckton to fulfil their potential. We play an active effort in targeting mindful and physical wellbeing as well as improving outdoor spaces. All our projects are either free to users or heavily subsidised by Beckton Community Projects. Yakub Ali5 years ago We are a group of individuals who have grown up in Beckton. We are sad to see that the residents, mainly the youth in our community have been neglected; as a result, anti-social behavior and gang related crimes are now rife. We have formed Beckton Community Projects to try to rebuild some community spirit and develop community cohesion. We have managed to successfully open a youth club over the last two Saturdays and hope to continue this going forward.Our youth club is a free service for any young people from Newham aged from 7 to 18. We have 32 children who have registered already. Two of our core members are qualified youth workers who have years of experience working with young people. We have pooled together some capital to purchase some of the equipment, and managed to borrow some equipment to get started.We have so far had extremely great and humbling feedback from both the young people and parents of our service. The parents in the local community are very excited. With your support we would love to expand on this project and ensure we can sustain this for the long term.Watch our presentation prepared for the July Beckton and Royal Docks Community Assembly below.
