Description
Youth Self Defence is a youth based program that empowers the youth with practical self defence skills, confidence and awareness in a safe and favourable atmosphere. The project is based on a youth group, Reconnect, which reflects the essence of the whole initiative: to make young people reconnect with their sense of strength, their feeling of safety, and their community.
1. Build confidence and resilience in young people aged 13–21 through practical self-defence training.
2. Promote health and wellbeing by improving physical fitness, mental strength, and self-awareness.
3. Empower the youth to take ownership of their personal safety and decision-making.
4. Strengthen community connections by creating a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment.
5. Develop leadership and teamwork skills through a youth-led approach.
6. Provide positive activities that reduce risks of disengagement, isolation, or negative influences.
7. Foster long-term impact by equipping participants with skills and values they can share with peers and carry into adulthood.
