Description
Young people in Stratford, West Ham, and Plaistow face isolation, low confidence, and negative influences that harm wellbeing and limit opportunities. Many are also at risk of involvement in crime and violence, which can severely affect their futures.
Youth Active provides a safe, vibrant evening programme where young people can connect, learn, and grow. Activities include football, multi-sports, table tennis, pool, arts and crafts, coding, and digital skills. Alongside fun, young people receive mentoring, guidance, and advice from trusted adults to help them build resilience, make positive choices, and steer away from crime and violence.
We aim to empower young people to develop confidence, resilience, and a positive sense of identity. The programme will reduce risks of crime, violence, and anti-social behaviour, strengthen connections with family, peers, and the wider community, and open pathways into education, training, and employment, supporting brighter and safer futures for young people.
