Workspace for Hire
From "Green Street Workspace"
Go to the project

The affordable workspace could be let on a flexible basis, rather than committing to take a lease for a longer period providing access to space and equipment when it is needed. Please see the brief for more detail.

I think given the amount of empty retail and commercial space in Upton Park and even within Queens Market/Green Street this is a poor idea. I don't think it would be utilised and there are so many other opportunities which would better serve residents needs. You could build affordable flats there or build larger restaurant units as examples.

I think affordable workspace is an excellent idea and would certainly be interested as a locally based creative.

I feel there really won’t be a desperate need for an affordable workspace in the current climate and would not be used. This could be used better as perhaps a space for hire for vintage markers, food events etc

I suspect that workspace that was previously at a premium will see prices come crashing down due to the corona crisis and new norms of working-from-home. I wouldn't focus on this in the near term.
