Will Thorne Pavilion, Stansfeld Road (Redevelopment)

I feel that this is a priority as the area needs some sort of focus.

The Will Thorne Pavilion was going to be redeveloped but the project was dropped when our bid for the 2012 Olympics was accepted ( 2005) and the money was diverted to the Olympics. Apparently this happened to another project in the area. The Will Thorne Pavilion was going to have a youth room, a room for the local police, a teaching room for use by schools and for football training, a multi purpose hall, a cafe/pub etc. This project would have brought the area to life and it would also have made the area safer as Stansfeld Road is quite a lonely spot.
