Walton Road Community Garden - £20,000
From "Plaistow Community Assemblies"
Go to the project

A community garden/ workshop space in the disused playground for the old pupil referral unit (34 Walton Road/Ravenhill Centre).
The space is currently abandoned and the proposal is to bring it in to community use as a green space/ workshop for local residents.
The area has many residents with no access to a garden space as they live in flats and there are long waiting lists at the allotment spaces in Queens Road.
The workshop space will be used to enable local residents to develop skills in carpentry and other crafts.

Good idea! Not a lot of green spaces around there so would be of particular benefit to the residents there.

I really like the idea, what a wasted potential it is at the moment! Your idea could make a difference for many residents if implemented.

Amazing idea! I have often wondered about the use of this space. Using it as a community space would really enhance the area. I hope you get funding for this project.
