Description
The RenewALL Kitchen will be a welcoming space where Manor Park residents come together to cook, learn and connect. Led by a Community Chef, our classes will teach residents to turn everyday ingredients from surplus food collections and our community garden into delicious, budget-friendly, nutritious meals.
Our project is about more than just cooking. It’s about empowering people to gain confidence, learn budget-friendly recipes helping them through the cost-of-living crisis, and earn accredited food hygiene certificates that open doors to employment and volunteering. By sharing food and cultural recipes, we’ll celebrate diversity, reduce isolation, and build community connections. Participants can go on to become volunteers who support our hot meals service, grow food in our garden, and lead future cooking sessions, learning new skills and taking ownership of the project.
By supporting the RenewALL Kitchen, you’re backing a project that:
· Tackles poor nutrition and loneliness
· Boosts health and wellbeing
· Promotes sustainability and food education
· Builds community leadership and resilience
