St Bart's Cafe

Proposed budget

GBP 19,535

Description

We are a church in East Ham with a community café and we are proud of our distinctive role within the community. We opened our doors in 1983 and over the years our café has become a hub for local elders to come along and enjoy both a wide variety of activities such as line dancing and social dancing. We are also a social space where folk come to connect with one another and find companionship.  The friendships formed here often continue outside of the café too. The proposed project would ensure the continuation of and expansion of activities that promote mental and physical health and wellbeing of Newham residents. Our proposed expansion includes chair-based exercise, a men's group, luncheon club and day trips.
