Description
Stitching for Wellbeing is a community initiative designed to enhance the quality of life in our neighbourhood. This project empowers residents to acquire essential sewing and clothing repair skills, fostering self-sufficiency and personal growth.
Our primary focus is on improving mental health and well-being. We aim to provide residents with a therapeutic outlet through creative stitching activities, relieving stress, anxiety, and depression. By teaching residents how to repair their own clothes, we encourage a sustainable lifestyle that reduces waste and promotes resource conservation.
Through a series of workshops, sessions, and community events, we plan to actively engage residents. We will assess the project's impact by conducting surveys and gathering feedback to measure changes in participants' sewing skills, mental well-being, and overall satisfaction.
Ultimately, Stitching for Wellbeing, seeks to create a stronger, more resilient, and happier community by nurturing individual growth, fostering a sense of belonging, and promoting a sustainable way of living that benefits both residents and the environment.
