Proposed budget

GBP 20,000

Description

Exit Foundation are a Mentoring Organisation working in the Borough of Newham. We would like to support Stratford and West Ham by doing outreach work in the areas of the Rusty Bridge, the parks and the streets. We intend to make the streets feel and be safer via our intervention, prevention and mediation services. We will be offering the use of a private gym and mentoring which will support people into employment, training and education. Anyone who signs up for our program will be picked up and taken to our offices or gym and a local food shop to eat during every session if required, they will then be returned home after every engagement with Exit Foundation and its staff. We intend to provide family support if needed or requested.

The work in this area will be valuable and beneficial with the Rusty Bridge highlighted as an area where engagement with children and young people would help to impact safety concerns. The Rusty Bridge and the surrounding area has been highlighted by Police, the local authority, local businesses and the community as a location where there is an identified need for engagement and intervention work.
