Hi S S,
Many thanks for your comments on policing, betting shops, and parking enforcement. Unfortunately, parking enforcement and the number of police on the street cannot be managed through the Local Plan, but we will pass your comments to the relevant team. We will consider all of your comments as part of our place-specific policies for Forest Gate and Manor Park.
Safer and cleaner streets

The section of Romford and woodrange road needs a lot of work. 1 - more police presence. 2 - removing one or more of the many gambling shops that leads to drinking and loitering 3 - better parking enforcement as cars run up on to the pavements and park there. (Why can’t bollards be put up to stop this??)

This behaviour is unfortunately widespread where there are places like raised beds close to places selling fast food & alcohol.
Although I’ve never seen the culprits, the bed in Romford Road opposite the small Sainsbury’s is always full of cans, bottles etc & there are so many other similar sites

Thank you for your response. Are you able to do something about the state of the road from sprowston bus stop to Barclays? As mentioned, too many betting shops, rubbish from the shops and local residents and parties constant dumped there. The shops are all the same and more of the same and with the exception of a couple they look a mess and have a. Heap of cars all over the road and pavement. Are you able to install barriers where access is no necessary and perhaps put hanging plans or something to make the road look a bit cleaner and nicer?

Yes I agree! There is often people drinking on the street outside the gambling shops. Would feel much safer without the shops.
