Description

Looking after your wellbeing isn’t easy. Every day we face demands that take their toll; from work pressures and caring responsibilities to health and financial worries. Finding time for yourself whatever you're going through isn’t a luxury; it’s essential. Everyone deserves space to breathe, reset and feel supported.

Roots of Wellbeing is a year-long programme of free Day Retreats and Workshops designed to support mental health, reduce isolation, and bring the local community in Beckton and Royal Docks together through accessible wellbeing activities.

Over the course of 12 months, we’ll host:

  • 6 full-day retreats (10am–4pm) with a nourishing blend of meditation, gentle yoga, creativity, group reflection and a shared plant-based lunch.
  • 5 shorter drop-in workshops perfect for those who want a taste of wellbeing practices but can’t commit to a whole day.

These events are designed to be inclusive, welcoming and free, removing financial or cultural barriers so that everyone (18+) can benefit.

All sessions will take place at The Well Bean Co Café in a warm, friendly community-driven space in Royal Albert Wharf.

Who are we?

Well Bean CIC is a local social enterprise passionate about making wellbeing accessible for all. Our mission is to reduce stress, loneliness and isolation by creating spaces where people can connect, learn tools for self-care, and discover practices that support their long-term health.

Our team combines lived experience and expertise:

Together, we’ve already hosted three successful community retreats and we run regular pay-what-you-can wellness sessions. With your support, we can go further, offering free, life-enhancing retreats that open the door to wellbeing for more local people.

Why vote for us?

Because wellbeing is not a privilege: it’s a right. By voting for Roots of Wellbeing, you’re helping create a kinder, healthier community.

We appreciate your support and we can't wait to welcome you to one of our retreats.

Thank you!
