Bisson Road Greening - Roots for the Future

This project aims to transform a previously neglected, car-dominated space in our neighbourhood into a greener, safer, and more welcoming community area. We will plant large trees in existing planters and green areas, enhancing biodiversity, improving air quality, and creating shade. Local residents, volunteers, and children from nearby schools will be involved in ongoing maintenance, including watering, weeding, litter picking, and small-scale planting, fostering a sense of pride, ownership, and responsibility.

The improvements will make the space safer, cleaner, and more enjoyable for all, while encouraging outdoor activity and strengthening community connections. The project also aims to inspire future community-led initiatives, empowering residents and schools to continue improving the neighbourhood together.
