This proposal addresses all 3 of the priorities.
We are a community garden which involves 35+ families growing produce, supporting each other with our diverse abilities and skills and holding community events locally. eg. :- Spring/Summer/ Autumn/Festivals. Workshops on:- healthy eating; environmentally friendly food production and sharing knowledge of each other cooking skills/knowledge. Organising and running street parties and car free days.
All our events are open to the wider and ethnically diverse local community, Facilities and activities cater for all age groups and abilities. We generally have upwards of 100 attending such events
Generous funding would enable us to continue to renovate and enhance the garden with much needed repairs and enhancements such as security cameras, electricity on site and to provide facilities for shelter to lengthen the growing season.
Also to continue and expand our community events ; involve more of the community in our events to spread and share knowledge and skills.
Autumn social event on Sat 6th Nov 2021 celebrating Diwali; Guy Fawkes; Halloween and Harvest Festival.
