The existing crossing is terrifying for those who need to cross from Salisbury Road to Carlton. So many people that live in the Durham Road Conservation area need to cross this road daily to get to the International Food Centre.

The distance between the alternative crossings by Tesco and Station Road are too lengthy given that residents often want to cross Romford Road towards the International Food Centre shop and back. There is also a useful short cut to High Street North from Salisbury Road, which is another reason that this makes for a popular crossing point. We need a safe pedestrian crossing at this junction.
