promoting communitysafety through practical legal awareness & Learning for youth

This project is aimed at targeting the young people, it's intending to promote community safety through practical legal awareness and education. One of the most important issues that affects everyone in our society is community safety. In order for young people to actively contribute to promoting safety in their communities, it is crucial to educate and empower them. This can assist them in navigating the difficulties they may encounter and making informed decisions that contribute to a safer community by giving them practical legal awareness and education. it is important to note that, any thriving society must prioritise community safety because it affects everyone in the community, including children and the elderly, and it significantly impact quality of life. People may feel insecure in their own homes and localities if there are inadequate measures in place to maintain community safety. Statistics demonstrate that places where community safety is not prioritised tend to have higher crime rates. This may lead to a range of negative consequences, including decreased property values and less job possibilities. Examples from everyday life, such as the decine of once-thriving urban centres due to high crime rates, show the significance of community safety and the necessity for efficient methods to promote it. Understanding how the law operates in real life situations is known as practical legal awareness. It's about being aware of your duties, rights, and obligations as a citizen. Young people may encounter legal challenges that are specific to their age group, thus it can be particularly important for them to have practical legal knowledge. For instance, young people could run into legal issues related to employment, education, or housing. They may also experience challenges related to criminal law, such being detained or accused of a crime. By providing them with the knowledge and resources they need to make wise decisions and take appropriate action, practical legal awareness can assist young people in navigating these difficulties. As a law graduate from the University of East London, I believe that this opportunity would present as a way of giving back to my community, hence, I am applying for funding to support this project.
