Description
Project E.M.B.R.A.C.E. was chosen to:
Encouraging people to connect.
Motivation the community.
Bringing people together.
Resilience of the community.
Accessible to all the community.
Community love, for the area and it residents.
Empowerment of all.
This project will be broken down into several elements:
Health and wellbeing with food empowerment.
A group set up to discuss how we can improve our own eating habits with advice on healthy eating, this will cover cooking, food, and diet. To end the project with a small cookbook.
Regular exercise sessions in the bookshop, with a monthly walk based on a scavenger hunt style to discover landmarks and wealth of artworks locally.
Scrapbook project.
Participants of all ages will capture special events/moments in spiral bound book to create a personal memory/story album, in fortnightly session.
Craft with a cuppa.
The bookshop will create and weekly craft session for adults, with a wide variety of crafting styles covered.
Learning Buzz Zone.
A learning space for all who are studying whatever age to do homework/assignments.
Or learning about a topic from speaker from different work professionals.
Encouraging the local community to come visit the bookshop, getting them excited about reading, learning, and sharing the new skills.
