One way street options

Rather than closing off streets could one way streets be an option. You say these have been considered but offer no evidence as to why they have not been taken further.
You have presented the results of the speed / traffic volume survey in a very one sided way. Overall speed restrictions are being observed by the majority of users. There appears to have been no consideration at all of the impact these proposals will have on Woodgrange Road. People live and work there too. No consideration at all for the pupils of Forest Gate school who almost all use Woodgrange Road on a daily basis.
Has anyone actually asked the local people who drive what they actually use their cars for? Very few I suspect use them to drive to Forest Gate unless they really need to do so due to health / mobility issues. As a resident of 24 years I can honestly say that one of the greatest number of vehicles I see are delivery vans - be that for supermarkets or couriers. Presumably mostly for the people who don’t have cars getting their deliveries. It seems these proposals are being introduced against the wishes of most local people to deter those from outside the area cutting through. It’s never been a problem for most who live here so why make it one now.
