Need for cycle lane and better road markings for cars

From "Romford Road Public Realm Improvement scheme"

Go to the project

Two issues here. Going westbound over the junction, when you are on the west side, the road could be widened to incorporate a cycle lane that replaces some of the pavement for pedestrians and, as you continue, push back the parking spaces outside the Minhaj-ul-Quran London further in. The road surfacing here needs to be done.

On the west side of the junction, but heading east bound from the junction of Sprowston Road, the lane markings go from a bus lane and lane of traffic, to a row of parking (with a bus stop wedged in), and two lanes - which actually push traffic in to the oncoming traffic coming westbound from the main junction. Here, it needs to rmain one bus lane and one traffic lane, and for the lanes at the junction heading east to be reduced from three to two lanes.
