Description
Mums, Babies & Toddlers Project
Sphere Support CIC is proposing a new community project to support mothers, babies, and toddlers in Newham Stratford. Many local families face challenges such as isolation, low income, and limited access to affordable early years activities. This project will provide a safe, welcoming space where families can come together, learn, and build lasting connections.
The project will run weekly sessions offering:
- Play-based learning and activities to support toddlers’ early development.
- Workshops for mums on health, nutrition, parenting skills, and child development.
- Peer support and networking, helping mothers reduce isolation and share experiences.
- Guest professionals, such as health visitors and nutritionists, to provide practical advice.
By creating opportunities for both parents and children, the project will improve health and wellbeing, confidence, and community belonging. We expect to reach 40–50 families regularly, benefitting at least 60–80 individuals.
We are applying for funding to cover staffing, venue hire, equipment, and resources to make the project accessible and free for families most in need. Our goal is to give children the best start in life while helping mothers feel supported, connected, and empowered in their community.
