More benches and seating in the public spaces

This picture is a small inner city park in central Lisbon, surrounded by high buildings. It’s called Jardim da parada.
It contains some flower beds and lush old trees, 8 metal tables and chairs by the council fixed to the floor, where about 40 retired people play domino and chat all day, and about 30 wooden benches dotted around, well used by the older population, families and teens.
it has a kiosk selling food with its own set of many tables and chairs. It has a pond with ducks, bandstand and also a small playground for children.
Please add benches and seatings in parks, specially pocket parks and smaller spaces, just vast geens are not particularly useful to the community, council lacks imagination, focusing on grass alone.
This would help the post COVID recovery, in line with your plan. safety is not all about CCTV, it is about creating a community where people reach out and know one another. Lisbon is one of the most safe cities in the world and green spaces are really key to this.
Ah and plant trees, plant plant plant.
