Proposed budget

GBP 18,854

Description

ASK are very passionate about mental health and wellbeing due to our own challenges and life experiences. ASK started as a participation group, and that when our voices started to be heard. Co-Production is very important to ASK members and we are very much involved in making changes around stigma and discrimination and have been part of the Forum from the beginning.

By educating people regularly we can help people from diverse backgrounds to have a better understanding what Mental health is and how to take care of their mental health wellbeing and that of their loved ones. We will be continuing to support the Public Health Strategy – 50 Step to a Healthier Borough and move Newham towards the Mental Health friendly borough that Newham is aiming for.

Huge congratulations 🎊 👏🏿 💐 Sandra on being awarded this funding. You put your heart and soul into everything you do for the community and the individuals you assist on a one-to-one basis. Your genuine passion, inspiration, and love for all that you do shows not only in you but through those that attend your groups, forum, workshops, and events. Once again, huge congratulations 🎊 👏🏿
Sandra is excellent at what she does by providing support for mental health in Newham. She is so passionate and very dedicated to helping others even with physical pain. She is incredibly inspirational. I have attended her sessions and she creates a very warm and welcoming also safe space for her users. Sandra’s sessions are very needed. I recommend ASK. @Desmond Blake thank you. Regular community events around Mental health wellbeing is very much needed for us all. This will not only help with breaking down stigma and discrimation, but also educate that we ALL have mental health.
