Manor Park IncludED

The purpose of the project is to support children/young people living in the Manor Park area to be includED in enrichment activities and education by providing: 

- a range of activities e.g. table tennis, TV, video games (small scale), education games, art etc. 

-a safe space to do homework/revision supported by peers and adults where the lead peers and adults promote a sense of physical and emotional safety. In this environment it's easier for children and young people to learn. The ultimate aim would be for older children to support younger children (peer led sessions) with the support of a member of the DivertEd team. 

-an opportunity for children and young people to talk through any challenges they are experiencing in education; express their feelings and/or seek advice. 

-a monthly surgery/clinic for parents/carers to get advice re how to navigate education processes

Funding to start this project for children and young people in Manor Park will be an opportunity to make a difference and help children make the most of their education, give them somewhere to think about and talk about learning and their hopes and ambitions, be listened to and get the help they need with homework and study.
