Low Traffic Neighbourhoods
From "Manor Park Community Assemblies"
Go to the project
Low Traffic neighbourhoods are areas without through traffic, but accessbile by residents. Rat running is a bane of Manor Park. Its configuration of streets are very amenable to low traffic neighbourhood schemes which will reduce air pollution, make a pleasanter environment and encourage healthy active travel. the low traffic neighbourhoods recently set up in Stratford and Forest Gate are already having a benefical effect.

Excellent proposal. Having seen how the LTNs have positively impacted on parts of Maryland and Forest Gate, would be great to see this brought into action in Manor Park

Seconded. The box between Romford Road / Plashet Grove / Green Street /High Street North is a pure rat run, with traffic getting worse every day, along with the associated pollution, dangerous driving and pedestrian & cyclist hostile environment.

I would love for LTNs to be more widely used in Manor Park. Pollution and road safety are such a problem here. This would go a long way toward alleviating that and improving air for children and us all.

Yes please. I think this is an excellent idea. I would definitely support LTN being rolled out in Manor Park. It would make such a big difference to our daily lives and hopefully the air quality.
