Priority 3 - Better parks, green spaces and natural environment.
Our project is very simple, we want to plant flowers in 3 of the tree pits on Ling Road to make the street look pretty!
We believe that by planting life in to the pavement we can plant some life back in to the community and help people to have a pride in our neighbourhood.
We will invite our neighbours to come together to plant sensory flowers, herbs and plants that attract bees and butterflies and create a small oasis of green to break up the monotony of black tarmac.
We believe that even the tiniest urban green space can help reduce stress and enhance physical and mental wellbeing.
We're hoping that this idea will catch on and that in future all of our neighbourhood tree pits will be planted, loved and cared for.
