CPT - Supporting People Experiencing Homelessness into Employment

Your Place (London) Ltd works with people experiencing homelessness in Newham. We have 155 beds in our core hostel on Barking Road. In the year ending March 31st 2023 we supported 115 individuals to move-on. Our dedicated Job Coach in our Community Partnerships Team supported 37 individuals to secure employment and 39 individuals to sustain employment. Around 20% of residents) are young (aged 18 -25); 30% are female and 65% identify as members of ethnic minorities. We also accommodated 76 individuals with No Recourse to Public Funds who would be destitute without our support. In 2022 we supported 17 young residents aged 18 - 25 to successfully move into independent living and in the same period 14 young residents secured employment. In 2022 we won the national Chartered Institute of Housing - UK Housing Awards - Resident Employment and Training award (0 - 15,000 homes). The judges said: “Their work in engaging people furthest from the job market was inspiring. Their devotion to making sure [they] reached out to Newham’s diverse communities was exemplary”
