Improvements to Priory Park - Play

Green Street’s working group, would like to submit a £20K proposal to continue to invest and improve Priory Park Children’s Play area. There is a direct link to the CIL funding parameters for investing into current infrastructure.
While the working group are uncertain on the total costs of their requests, they are confident that it could be achieved as the focus is on remedial and repair works to Priory Park. Questions were raised by members of the working group that there should already be maintenance work factored into Priory Park which should cover some of the working group proposals. Therefore, by combining resources there should be a good offer we can put to the public vote.
It was strongly recommended that the large frame be repaired and not replaced. Nicola has provided an estimate for this below.
Initial discussions have already taken place with Nicola Mackie.
1- Repair of current large play frame (repaint and repair) - £5K
2- Repair Zip Wire
3- Repair Swing – missing seats
4- Repair – water feature by sand pit
5- Painting of Children’s play area railing
6- Repair/replace park noticeboards
7- Signage – e.g. no dogs
