Description
Our idea is an early intervention group for parents who have children with additional needs aged 0-3 years. The purpose of this group will be to reduce loneliness and isolation, improve wellbeing, and to importantly foster a sense of hope for the future. We want to provide children with disabilities the best start in life through this early support. This will be a safe place where children can play, and parents can share experiences, supporting one another. Wellbeing is also an important purpose of this project. We will provide free tea, coffee and cake during the sessions. We will also trial ideas like free massage for parents and gifts like flowers. We will work closely with local health teams; aiming to have guest professionals visit who can provide consultations. This project would run once a week, on Thursday mornings between 10- 11:30 am at Manor Park Library.
