get cars off the pavements

The car ownership in Newham and the dominance of cars in MP is awful. Romford Road is unpleasant enough with all the traffic, but having cars also parked along the pavement makes it even worse. Why not allocate a parking attendant for one whole day solely to specific sections of Romford Road, who can then fine the vehicle owners when they are seen driving over the public pavement (illegal) to their forecourt parking spaces. That might change things and get people to think again about how this space is used.

cars being allowed to take up half the pavement at places like Shrewsbury Road mean that families cannot even walk side by side. It's very sad. It indicates that the needs of car storage are more important than walking safely.
