Description

Future Band is a creative music ensemble developed by and for young people from the Central Park Estate (including Brampton Primary, Central Park Primary, New City Primary and Vicarage Road Primary). It is a unique opportunity for students to work together with others from across the school, to make and perform new music. The project will run for 2 terms (Summer/Autumn 2026) and is for Key Stage 2 + 3.

Young people involved in the project will:

Collaborate together to make, play and perform new music
Work collectively to co-design and deliver the project
Be involved as young creative ensemble leaders

A wonderful idea which I hope will allow lots of young people to become the budding musicians of the future. This is a very positive way to engage with children and a positive way for them to engage with other children. A skill for life in my view. Even better that there is more scientific evidence that learning music improves concentration, memory and mood. This bid gets my vote. Good luck.
